Pan-Fried Mushrooms like at the Christmas Market 🍄🟫😋🌲

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 400 g mushrooms (cleaned and sliced)
  • 1 onion (diced)
  • 1 red bell pepper (diced)
  • 2 garlic cloves (minced)
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Chili (to taste)
  • Parsley (chopped, for garnish)

Dressing:

  • 1 tbsp crème fraîche
  • 1 tbsp plain yogurt
  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 2 garlic cloves (minced)
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the dressing:
    In a small bowl, mix the crème fraîche, plain yogurt, mayonnaise, and minced garlic. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Set the dressing aside.
  2. Cook the mushrooms:
    Heat the olive oil and butter in a large pan. Add the diced onion and sauté until softened and golden brown.
  3. Add the pepper and garlic:
    Add the diced red bell pepper and minced garlic, and sauté for about 2 minutes.
  4. Add the mushrooms:
    Add the mushrooms to the pan and cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until golden brown and tender (about 8-10 minutes).
  5. Season:
    Season with salt, pepper, and chili to taste. Continue cooking until the mushrooms are well seasoned and nicely browned.
  6. Serve:
    Plate the pan-fried mushrooms and garnish with chopped parsley. Serve the dressing on the side.
